| What is Western Suburbs Housing Co-operative (WSHC)
WSHC is a proactive tenant focused community-housing co-operative
that provides affordable, appropriate, secure housing to people
in need.
Through the continued development of housing options we work
cooperatively to become a more dynamic key player in the non
– profit housing sector that provides people with security,
safety, mobility and the choice in their housing needs.
WSHC is partially funded by the Office of Community Housing
and has properties located in the Auburn, Parramatta, Holroyd
and Blacktown local government areas. However housing is not
available in every suburb in these areas.
WSHC is a non- – profit organisation controlled by
a volunteer board drawn from local community and tenants.
We have a commitment to increase the amount of affordable,
secure housing within our area, to raise community awareness
about housing too low and moderate income earners and encourage
our tenants to become involved in the management and planning
processes of the co-operative.
WSHC currently manages 460 properties and has a waiting list
of over 1000 applicants.
The number of vacancies can vary from time to time and so
it may be some considerable time before we may be able to
offer you assistance with housing. |
